No trip to Catalina Island would be complete without exploring the rich underwater ecosystem that draws tourists from around the world to Catalina Island. Camp Emerald Bay sits beside a system of kelp forests and rock reefs routinely ranked among the top ten dive destinations in the world.! Our in-house dive center is just steps away from the very same reefs that dive boats scramble to visit every weekend, reefs that you will find bustling with octopi, sea lions, bat rays and leopard sharks. Learning to dive off the shores of Emerald Bay rather than in a pool will not only be more fun, it will make you a stronger and more experienced diver in less time. For divers who already have their certification, there are plenty of opportunities to continue your training at advanced levels or to enjoy our world class diving while participating in regular summer camp. Finally, for those who just want to taste what SCUBA diving is, Discover SCUBA Diving experiences offer the chance to try diving for the first time in an unforgettable locale. These courses will only run once a minimum of 4 participants has been met for each week. If this minimum has not been met for the week in which you registered, we will work with you to find an alternative or refund the cost of the program.
