The EMERALD BAY STAFF CREED
Preamble:
We the staff of Camp Emerald Bay reaffirm our commitment to the Scout Oath and Law, and in the pursuit of perfection, dedicate ourselves to the four principles of professionalism, stewardship, servant leadership, and fellowship.
Professionalism:
We believe in professionalism. We will embrace our responsibilities with integrity and enthusiasm. We will strive to hold our appearance, attitude, and work ethic to the highest standards. We promise to integrate discipline, punctuality, and a smile into all of our actions both in and out of camp.
Stewardship:
We believe in stewardship. We believe in treasuring the gem of Emerald Bay. It is our privilege to uphold camp, appreciate our island ecosystem, and be aware of how we use our global resources.
Servant Leadership:
We believe in servant leadership. It is our desire to embrace every opportunity to serve so that a helping hand is always present. We will always be the first to volunteer and last to leave. In doing this, we will serve as impeccable role models for scouts and staff.
Fellowship:
We believe in fellowship. We will strive to encourage a fun and healthy environment during our work and free time alike. We will use that time to learn and grow with our fellow staff. We will ensure our fellow staff are well prepared in all aspects of camp. We will speak with one voice because we are one family regardless of background.
Conclusion:
In abiding by this creed, we will strive to achieve our vision and produce a unique, unparalleled, and unforgettable Scouting experience.
