Girl Scout Family Adventure
Girl Scouts Family Adventure and High Adventure weekends give an exciting opportunity to explore Catalina Island while canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and hiking with Girl Scout camp staff! Learn about marine life at the aquarium, perfect your aim at the archery and slingshot ranges, unleash your creativity with arts & crafts, and meet new friends at our campfire performance!
Explore the Ocean
Family weekends include introductory boating for scouts as young as kindergarten to fall in love with boating in the beautiful and calm waters of Emerald Bay! Learn how to canoe, kayak, and paddleboard with our lifeguard-certified boating instructors. Discover the kelp forest ecosystem during our aquarium tours, feeding presentations, and touch tanks before you dive in to explore for yourself while snorkeling!
Take in the Scenery
With multiple guided hikes & scenic walks, you’ll have a chance to see the beauty of Catalina (and maybe an island fox, too)! Once the sun goes down, enjoy an astronomy hike under the stars and learn some constellations.
Practice your Aim
Take a visit to our field sports area and practice your aim at the archery and slingshot ranges run by camp staff!
Get Creative!
Visit our arts & crafts stations to take a break from the sun and make ocean-inspired creations to remember your weekend! Make new friends and show off your talents at our staff-led campfire with songs, skits, and stories!
Additional High Adventure Weekend Activities
Spend your weekend on the water with boat races, guided snorkels through the kelp forest, sunrise and sunset boating, and morning polar plunges. Get in some land time with beautiful scenic hikes, walks, and runs along the island’s rugged terrain from sunrise to sunset! Test your skills during our low rope’s obstacle course hike!
